Dog Park Tips
  • Don't introduce frightened or unsocialized dogs into the dog park.
  • Don't bring dogs who are bullies or who are skittish into the dog park (know the dog's temperament).
  • Remain alert once your dogs are in the park.
  • Talk to other people who frequent the park before visiting for the first time.

  • Make sure your dogs have had all their shots before bringing them to the dog park.
  • If you have a supply of treats, call your dogs and reward them throughout the visit.
    • When it is time to leave, it will be easier for you to convince your dogs to go without persuasion.
  • Don't give other people's dogs treats until their owner approves it first.
  • Be sure your dog is supplied with plenty of water.
  • Be responsible and clean up after your pet; bring bags just in case.
